Samuel Ramsey is Director of Operations for West Midtown Medical Group.
Mr. Ramsey was raised in Harlem and witnessed the ravages that alcohol and opiate addiction causes to both family and community. His childhood memories include pushing past drug dealers and suffering addicts on his way to the neighborhood candy store. Mr. Ramsey was one of the first African-American students to receive a full scholarship to the prestigious Loomis Institute boarding school in Windsor, Connecticut.
Samuel has over twenty-three years of experience in the field of substance abuse treatment. His first professional introduction to the field was through his mother, a Registered Nurse and supervisor at an East Harlem methadone treatment program.
Samuel’s universally-valued spiritual concepts of hope, love, peace and forgiveness, without regard to religious affiliation, are a mainstay and guiding light at WMMG.
Prior to becoming Director of Operations, Samuel served as Patient Advocate, and Admissions Coordinator. He emphasizes expert, integrated care in a warm, caring environment.
