Medication Assisted Treatment: Buprenorphine (Suboxone) Medication- Assisted and Naltrexone (Vivitrol) Therapy

West Midtown Medical Group offers comprehensive health care and is in the in forefront of treatment and recovery. Buprenorphine (Suboxone), approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2002, has shown to be a safe and effective alternative to methadone. Buprenorphine, for treatment of heroin and prescription opiate dependence, is available for patients enrolled both in our opiate treatment program and in our chemical dependence outpatient program.

West Midtown Medical Group also offers Vivitrol, an injectable form of Naltrexone. Vivitrol, approved in 2010 by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, is an important addiction medication, prescribed for addiction to heroin and prescription painkillers, as well as for alcoholism.

Our medical team of Board Certified physicians, registered physician assistants, and registered nurses will assess you and start you on the addiction medication right for you, and continue to manage your medication through your recovery. Patients treated with Suboxone or Vivitrol have comprehensive evaluations and individualized treatment plans that include both individual and group counseling.
